Music of Russia
Traditional Russian Music
Bold and beautiful. Two traits that can efficiently describe Russian music in a way that differentiates it from other traditional music in other countries. Fun fact, Russian music is the only style in the world that incorporates traditional elements into their music. Let us obtain a bit of insight by listening to some traditional Russian music (with a bit of dancing).
Note how the Russians use dynamics and timbre to enhance the overall performance
Based on this video, Russians have a tendency to overlap and add instruments to increase dynamics. They eliminate instruments to lower the dynamics.

ROLE OF MUSIC IN EVERYDAY LIFE
In everyday life, music in Russia is performed in different ways:
Over the years, Russian Ballets have grown to be very popular. This form of ballet puts emphasis on a delicate, fragile dancer and ominous, omniscient music.
Russia is also very well known for its Operas. A combination of music and the melodic voice of an opera singer proves to be a spectacular experience. This performance transmits a story, through lyrics and rhythm of the music.
