01.07 Module One Activity

using a compass and straightedge vs a drawing program.
If you are given a shape to draw and you can't draw it on paper what are the odds you'll be able to do it on an online drawing program? It'll just be more difficult.
In addition learning an online drawing program can get more difficult than using tools.
Using a compass and a straightedge will help our minds remember how the figures are suppose to be constructed properly.
Argument A
There is a need for students to understand and be able to construct geometric figures using a compass and straightedge.
Summary
I personally think there is a need for students to understand and be able to construct geometric figures using math tools such as a compass and straightedge. Using these math tools allow us students to understand what we are fully doing rather than doing it online on drawing programs.

Why not Argument B
Learning how to use an online drawing program can sometime get a little to difficult.
There aren't a lot of high quality online drawing programs that are for free, a lot of them require you to purchase them and they can cost a lot of money!
Using a drawing program won't make a student remember how the figures are suppose to be constructed, further more they won't understand fully what they're doing rather than drawing out the figures with a compass and straightedge over and over will help the students minds remember way better and understand fully!

CONSTRUCT GEOMETRIC FIGURES
"There is no need for students to use a compass and straightedge, and all geometric constructions should be done using a drawing program."
