1. LULAC Immigrant Veterans Campaign Scores Huge Win :

-->On November 15th, the Veteran Postcard campaign sent 15,000 postcards to Congress, calling for immigrant reform and support for Veteran families.

-->Department of Homeland Security has announced that they will halt the deportations of family members of veterans and active duty service members.

2. LULAC Disputes Police Tactics Used in Castroville Anti-Gang Operation:

-->Castroville police were accused of using extreme force in obtaining people and/or information related Gang-related activities. LULAC President, Diana Jimenez, says, “Authorities sanctioned intimidation, humiliation and retaliation against residents” in the vicinity, which has now created a fear in the community. “How can that help fight crime in the end?” says Jimenez.
