Kirghiz and the wakhan corridor by jean-baptiste bolh, and hina rattu the wakhan corridor the wakhan corridor is a small strip of land
sorrounded by tahikistan, china, and pakistan wakhan continued The wakhan divides two spectacular mountain
ranges called the Hindu Kush and the Pamir Mountains.
This small spectacle is only about 200 miles long. Wakhan again... There are two major groups of people that live in the corridor. They are called the wakhi's and the kirghiz. There are about 10,000 wakhi and 5,000 kirghiz. The Wakhi Thank you for watching! The wakhi are fairly calm people
and are all Shiite muslim. Unfortunatly, there
isn't much to say about these people. The Kirghiz The Kyrghyz follow a nomadic
lifestyle. They are all sunni muslim. Kyrgyz continued... Most of the Kirgiz are herdsmen who raise cattle,
horses, sheep, camels, and goats. They live in white
felt tents that are easily moved from place to place. kyrgyz continued... Vegetables are the only thing that can grow in the
mountainous area. This means that kyrgyz never
have fruit. Their favorite drink is goats milk. Kyrgyz again Many kyrgyz have a drinking problem THE END
