Transcript of Who Moved My Cheese?

is a metaphor for what we want to have in life, whether it is a job, relationship, money, a big house, freedom, health, recognition, spiritual peace, or even an activity like jogging or disc golf.

We each have our own idea of what cheese is, and we pursue it because we believe it makes us happy.

If we get it, we often become attached to it. And if we lose it, or it's taken away, it can be traumatic.
Characteristics: Denies that change is occurring; optimistic about consistency
Strengths: Strong willed, works to maintain the status quo
Weaknesses: Stubborn to the point of denial, not always willing to advocate for change.

Characteristics: Bargains with self to accept current reality; puts self first in all situations
Strengths: Understanding of self and need
Weakness: Negative bargaining
Hem and Haw Sniff? Scurry? Hem? Haw?
How do you deal with change? Change happens
Anticipate change
Monitor change
Adapt to change quickly
Enjoy change!

Sniff and Scurry
Characteristics: Likes to fully size up a situation; realizes that no one has to think ahead in order to succeed
Strengths: Thorough, patient
Weaknesses: Not spontaneous, needs to plan

Characteristics: realizes change is coming and "Hits the road running"' accepts everything at face value
Strengths: Mentally tough, quick to move.
