Its about to get deep. Pathos is emotional appeal. This causes an audience, people like you, not just to respond emotionally but to also feel what the writer feels.
Termed as "timely" or "opportune"

TO PERSUADE BY REASONING
Ethos is all about credibility and trustworthiness
Example --> "If my age doesn't convince you that my opinion matters, at least consider that I'm your grandfather and I love you dearly."
PERSUASION BY DEMONSTRATION OF LOGICAL PROOF
Classically denotes the time and place necessary to convince the audience of a message.
Example> The number of people killed in distraction-affected crashes decreased slightly from 3,360 in 2011 to 3,328 in 2012, while an estimated 421,000 people were injured, a nine percent increase from the estimated 387,000 people injured in 2011. (NHTSA).
