By Sugie Lee Cyber Bulling what is Cyber Bullying? if you Cyber bullying is the use of technology to threaten, harass embarrass someone or targeting a person. Cyber bullying happens a lot among young people. dangers Educating the kids about the consequences helps. Teaching them to respect others and to take a stand against bullying of all kinds helps too. way to prevent the situation * Speak with a trusted adult or parent or teacher about the solution you are in
*Save or print all evidence to show the trusted adult
*Ignore minor bullying if you respond, you might be in a more worst solution
*Block the bully.
*Be safe online-change your passwords often. think twice before sharing personal information or photos/videos that you don't want the world to see.
*If you are not involved in cyber bullying but you witness a friend getting cyber bullyed do something. Tell a trusted adult about what you saw and who was involved.
*Don’t become a bully - sending it to your friends or laughing at it. safety plan examples Instant Messaging or Text messaging Harassment: sending mean messages to others, posing as the victim online, sending inappropriate photos, sending death threats
Stealing passwords: posing as the victim, editing the victim’s online profile to include hateful information to offend others so they will not be friends with the victim, locking the victim out of his/her account
Web sites: creating Web sites or blogs that insult others, posting other peoples’ personal pictures or information
Pictures sent through E-mail and Cell phones: sending naked pictures of other teens via E-mail or Cell phones, posting these photos online, uploading them on programs where people can download them, taking pictures of teens sneakily and sending them ways of cyber bullying in June 2003, an eleven year old japanese girl killed her classmate. She told the police that she killed her classmate because she was angry about the messages that had been posted about her in the internet. example of
