Personal statement
I am a hardworking, friendly, responsible and punctual person. I am able to accept new tasks from the industry and also complete the task given on time. I can get on well with people at all levels and easily making good working relationships. I’ve a length of working experience in Hospitality industry. During my internships, I’ve had been through three hotels/resorts and one event company. I had been trained in Front Office, Reservation, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing and in event company I was trained as assisting in every event projects. I am able to communicate in Malay, English, Cantonese, Mandarin and basic French. I am able to work well in a team or individually.

Based on my experiences, I have gained a lot of knowledge in different kind of industry for example hospitality industry and also event industry. I have been through four internships in hospitality and event industry. Throughout all these internships, it has given me a lot of opportunity to gained more knowledge on these industries. I have improved my communication skills, interpersonal skills, product knowledge of different industry and teamwork. Communication skill is actually the most important skill because without communication we could not speak up our needs and wants to the others and also in the working industry, if we do not have a good communication skill, we will never achieve our goal because it is hard for us to deliver the information to the clients or guests. In other word communication skill is the key of communication for every one of us. This skill is actually to allow us to speak up what is on our mind clearly to everyone. Interpersonal skill allowed me to work together with my colleagues and also able to assume leadership in a small group. This skill teaches me to be more professionalism at work and understand the role of my job. Working with people is easy but working with different kind of characters is not easy. I have learned to give and take. Other than that, it trained me to be well manage the time effectively. Teamwork is very important because without teamwork, our task will not be completed within deadline. Working in event industry must be efficient, work smart and also have a good relationship between clients and colleagues. Other than that, I’ve experienced in working in a retail shop, it taught me to have a better communication skills between different kind of people/cultural. Based on my all experiences, it taught me to be a better person thus, it can make me to have a bright future.
