How Your Garden Grows For the past few years at Unity Grammar College in Stage 4 Technology, the students have covered a large sect of learning how to manufacture through different methods. The students have greatly enjoyed researching for topics such as “Room for Improvement”, “Ramadan Calendar” and “Desk Accessory”. These projects were the foundation that created skills that will indeed be useful for the future. INTRODUCTION Problem: Unity Grammar needs a calendar for Ramadan to help wake up for Suhoor and break their fasts at Iftaar. Thanks to the Stage 4 Technology syllabus, Year 8’s creativity comes in hand. This year we saw an amazing array of Ramadan Calenders created through professional software. The skills learned were researching, learning how to use Adobe Photoshop and brushing up on Ramadan knowledge. In this unit Year 8 students experienced a brand new world of multimedia presentations; Prezi. We had to summarise everything we had done in Technology at Unity Grammar’s High School. Beginning with “Who Am I” and ending with “How Your Garden Grows”. We learned plenty of new skills. Such as how to use Prezi, and recalling the work done in 2 years.
