The purpose of this platform is to facilitate important data to future researchers that let them to carry out works similar to this and improving through updating every process and activities that this platform covers. Also, it will work as a very useful tool for those students who present problems in regard to translations and as a consequence for the bad comprehension of texts written in English; it is to say, it will work as a useful practice for students of English wishing to strenghten and develop agilely the process for translation and the reading comprehension.
2. "Comprehending through the "google translate" for selecting the right option"
To comprehend appropriately a text written in English and select the right option to a reading comprehension question, the student will have the opportunity to search the platform through the use of the virtual dictionary. In this process, the students will translate to comprehend rapidly sentence by sentence and proceed to the choice of the answer to the question provided in the virtual platform. The student will have just one opportunity to select the correct answer. In this case, "google translate" will be used to facilitate the speed and comprehension of the process through the explanation, step by step, provided by the teacher. This activity will develop the ability to select the right answer to a generated question related to the text. The idea of this activity is to continue improving the use, provided by the students, of the virtual tool encouraging them to be involved with the same.
3. "Listening, reading, writing and speaking through the lyrics"
With the aim to make more dynamic and funny the process of translation and comprehension of writings in English, the four skill of English are proposed to develop activities. In this activity, the student will have the opportunity to: 1. listen to a song in English, 2. listen to it again while reading the lyrics, 3. to translate the lyrics listened to and read through the use of the virtual dictionary, and 4. to sing the song (all of the students at the same time). This process will facilitate the fact of being involved in the world of the virtual platform by developing the necessary skills to achieve the wished success. Additionally, the teacher can ask the students to upload the biography and picture of their favorite singer.
1. "Translating through a physical bilingual dictionary and a technological tool"
In this activity, the students will have the opportunity to translate a brief text from English to Spanish. The teacher will divide the class in two groups. One group will work by making use of the physical bilingual dictionary and the another group by using a technological tool like "google translate" or "wordreference dictionary" for example. The aim of this exercise is to make comparisons for both processes so that the students can notice the differences in regard to processes and the advantages that the technological tools have in comparison with the monotonous use of the physical bilingual dictionary. In this process, the teacher will guide and explain the appropriate use of the virtual dictionary (to avoid bad translation) to the students. This process will be interchanged for both groups to facilitate the comprehension to the students all.
The process for translating written texts in English involve the use of tools that facilitate the meaning from a second language to a native one with the aim to comprehend what is written in a foreign language. Through times, students of English have had the need for using a bilingual physical dictionary to satisfy the necessity for translation and can comprehend writings in English language. However, this process has been extremely turned very slow in which makes the student not to reach to solve the problem completely in matter of time. Therefore, using just one or several technological tools would help students to solve, rapidly, translation and facilitate a better comprehension of itself, ending their activities successfully.
