Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all Monotheistic which means they only have one God. Jews name Him Yahweh, Christians name Him God and Muslims name Him Allah. Buddhists are Atheists which means even though they have spirits and key figures, their key is not to bow to God, it is to reach Nirvana. Without them being devoted to a God, they are considered atheist. Hindu's have the freedom of belief so they can be monotheistic, polytheistic or anti-theistic.
Over all the similarities between the five major religions is that they all love, respect and honor one another. The only difference is that each one has its own belief and has its own way of respecting, loving, and honoring their God and people.
Religion has affected us today because it has had millions of people killed, it has brought out the good and bad in people, and it shows how many different beliefs and cultures we have in this world.
The Crusades, The Troubles in Ireland, Rwanda 1994, East Timor civil war, Current Iraqi civil war, Hezbollah vs. Israel, and Syria vs. Israel have all been some of the wars that were influenced and caused by religion differences.
Religion has played a big role in my life because it has taught me how to get closer to God and how to help and respect people and it has become a part of my lifestyle.

Jews are mainly in Isreal/Africa and
North America,
