How to make a simile
In order to make a simile we must
1.) Determine the subject.Example "Jane" or "Jane's weight"
2.)Describe the subject. Example you describe Jane or Jane's weight as very light.
3.) Compare the subject to another thing similar to the subject.
4.)Use "as" or "like" in comparing the two things.
5.)So the simile for the example could be "Jane is as light as a feather.
A metaphor is a comparison between two unlike things not using the word “like” or “as” to make the comparison. The greater the difference between the two things being compared, the better the metaphor.
