According to Alek Clark (2011), "good food and fine wines are a vital part of any travel experience. In recent years, they are increasingly being seen as prime travel motivators in their own right, which has led to rapid growth in the food tourism niche."

According to C.M. Hall and L. Sharples , "the social and cultural significance of food is finally gaining the recognition it deserves." Special events and festivities always, and will always include food in their activities.

This research attempted to assess the Development of Culinary Tourism as a Means to attract Tourists in Selected Municipalities in Quezon Province. Specifically; it seeks to answer the following questions:

Maybe yes, but is it enough to attract a lot?
This graph shows that most of the respondents are students with 49% which indicates that students are active in traveling for food because they have wide variety of bonding with friends to go to other places and have what they call “food trip”.
This figure shows 98.40% of the respondents have visited and engaged in visiting other places for the reason of craving to taste the food of the place.
This figure shows that most of the respondents are female with 71%, which means female are more engaged into traveling for food.

This table shows that many respondents are motivated and willing to go back to places they have been to for food. There are frequency of 48 respondents who says that they are definitely going back again to places they have been to for food to try if there will be new menus before they come back. They are motivated to comeback because they liked what they tasted. They are more urged to comeback for more.
Presentation, Interpretation and Analysis of Data
This figure shows that majority of the respondents from different places came from Lucban, Quezon with a percentage of 34%.
This figure shows that the respondents consider most their interest in the food of the place with 51% as their motivator to go to places for food. It also indicates that still they consider the popularity of the food they have seen even if it is on television or the internet.
This figure shows that the respondents prefer to visit places for food during

are the best days to wait for tourist arrival in the place for culinary tour.
"FAVORITE FOODS IN QUEZON PROVINCE"
This is the ANSWER:
According to Clark 2011, the reason why female are more into culinary experiences is that "female tends to be more experimental in discovering new menu and dishes for their own pleasure or families. "
According to PSA or the Philippine Statistics Authority, the population of Lucban is 46,698 as of May 2012 which means out of the massive number of residents in Lucban they have many great cooks and chef that is why there are also many people there who are interested in visiting other places for food experience.
(Secretary-General, World Tourism Organization, volume four, 2012) for many of the world’s billions of tourists, returning to familiar destinations to enjoy tried and tested recipes, cuisine, gastronomy has become a central part of the tourism experience. Against this background, food tourism has gained increasing attention over the past years. Tourists are attracted to local produce and many destinations are centering their product development and marketing accordingly.
Next to them are
with 20% which means they are also more engaged in traveling for food because of government trips which includes food.
Ms. Raquel Bautista,
a Quezon provincial
tourism operations officer II
, during our interview on January 23, 2015, she said that when she was put into her current position in the office she had the privilege to taste different foods or specialty foods of different places in Quezon Province as well as other neighboring provinces and cities. Being in the government is an opportunity for them to travel a lot and taste different variety of foods without worrying the money to be spent because it was all sponsored by the government. She said she was working while relaxing at the same time.
Berkoff (2005) said that "Food-service operators are in a unique position. At no time in history have more people been eating out, been more knowledgeable about food and been more concerned about their health. They travel to discover new taste of food, new experience of food and new people to meet. "
According to Clark (2011) "But whatever the dish, it seems food is something an increasing number of us remember from our travels."
This table shows that respondents want to travel far away from home like other countries or cities which indicates that many tourist from far away may also visit Quezon province for food.
According to Clark(2011), "Culinary tourism is experiencing the food of the country, region or area, and is now considered a vital component of the tourism experience ."
This figure shows that the respondents are willing to spend 1000 pesos and above for food a day which means if this will happen so, culinary tourism has a big impact on our economy in a positive way with a percentage of 31%.
Local and foreign tourists generate income to the local government because tourist not only staying the hotel but also buys delicacies and souvenirs. Specialty foods of Quezon can alleviate economic growth of the community. Hence, they are improving the quality of their products to make it more appealing to the customers. The benefit in terms of economy that the culinary tourism gives in their community helps the tourism sector to generate and increase income of the local government, especially during the Festivals. By giving quality services to the customers, they assure that the customers will be satisfied. They make it possible that their price is affordable.
This figure shows that the main reason why tourists travel for food in Quezon province is that they wanted to try ingredients they can’t get in their hometown with 25%.
According to Arno(2014) "Even though we live in a world where you can get bananas in Maine, there are still a multitude of incredibly good ingredients that are only available where they are grown or in major trade cities."
This figure shows that most of the respondents know the place because of their friends with 48%,who have been to the place before and might have shared it to them which means that foods here in Quezon are really delicious because they tell it to their friends and recommend it to them to visit.
According to Pearce (2006), "a substantial and frequent mode of describing tourists is to their choice of a tourism product and to define their characteristics and behaviors in relation to that product. "
This table shows that the source of their information of the place was very effective for them to continue their journey to the place for food. Base on the results, the source of information which is by a friend’s recommendation, media and internet are very effective tool in promoting culinary tourism around the country.
This table shows that all of the respondents was very satisfied with their culinary tour here in Quezon province. However there are parts of the tour which dissatisfies them, yet overall satisfaction was exercised by the respondents.
According to C.M. Hall et.al.(2011) "Satisfied tourists tend to communicate their positive experience to others (word of mouth) and they tend to buy the product repeatedly, re-buy."
This table clearly shows that most of the food sold in Quezon province was just priced right which means that Quezonians are really honest in every aspect and are very hospitable.

which is a good thing for the place because it is somehow a form of promotion of the place to others. Many tourists who are dissatisfied with the place often tell bad things which will make tourists to not to go to the place anymore. That is why the
word of mouth
is very important in terms of advertising and satisfaction because it will determine the effectiveness or the success of the place as well as the establishments the place have.
Based on the results of the study, the researcher therefore conclude that:
Female are more engaged in traveling for food than male therefore they are the main target market of culinary tourism in Quezon Province. Thus, male are also in line of target but the main idea for development and improvement is for female.
Most of the travelers for food are students which indicates that they are active in travelling for food because they have wide variety of bonding with friends to go to other places and have what they call “food trip”.
The capital of culinary tourism in Quezon province is Lucban.
The most favorite food of visitors in Quezon was pancit habhab , longanisang Lucban and hardinera. These foods are also specially made in Lucban.
. The main factor that the tourists consider in visiting a place was their interest in the food of the place.
Weekends are the peak days for culinary tourism because tourists have free time during those days and tend to have their time for leisure.
Tourists are more into traveling far away from home or their usual environment, which is a good thing because this shows their engagement in traveling for experiencing foods of different places.
Tourists are willing to spend Php1000 for food per day. The benefit in terms of economy that the culinary tourism gives in their community helps the tourism sector to generate and increase income of the local government, especially during the Festivals. They make it possible that their price is affordable.
Tourist’s reason of visiting for food of the place is that they wanted to try ingredients they can’t get in their hometown. They are into trying to prepare the food into their own homes.
. Recommendations from other people like friend is a very effective way to let tourists know that there is a delicious food in the place. Also the media and internet has a big part for promotions of the foods of the place. Quality service is included here for tourist’s satisfaction.
Tourists are willing to recommend the place which is very useful for the promotions of the place and the food of the place.
Tourism officers are more into promotions of culinary tourism, they have partnerships with private individuals who conducts culinary tours in Quezon Province which is the Kulinarya Tagala.
The municipalities should develop a special or delicacies or improve it into more feminine for attraction.
Since students are more engaged in traveling for food, the place should be more careful in pricing and must be affordable by students.

Tourists are willing to spend Php1000 for food per day. They should maintain in that way by also maintaining the quality of the service they offer as well as the food.

The recipes of the food in every place should be accessible to others and must be shared for hospitality purposes and the ingredients should be available for the tourists to have it.
Recommendations from other people like friend is a very effective way to let tourists know that there is a delicious food in the place. Also the media and internet has a big part for promotions of the foods of the place. They should keep it that way, make the people or tourists recommend the place to others by improving the quality of every aspects involved.
. Tourists’ should be maintained of recommendations of the place because it is very useful for the promotions of the place and the food of the place.
The provincial tourism office should coordinate more with others who are also interested in developing new routes for culinary tours in Quezon Province.
