What is the Prostate Gland?
The prostate gland is a walnut-sized gland that only exists in males.
It helps in a male's sexual function by adding extra fluid
It can become inflamed and slow the flow of urine
What's wrong with my prostate?
My prostate is now larger than usual (Benign Prostatatic Hyperplasia)
My prostate is inflammed (Prostatitis)
I have prostate cancer
Having a blood test done to test for a certain prostate protein (PSA levels, or prostatic specific antigen)
Free PSA levels
Having a doctor feel into my rectum to feel the size of the prostate (Prostate exam)
Sticking a needle into the prostate to take a small piece (Prostate Biopsy)
What are the symptoms that I am experiencing?
Urinating all of the time (Urinary Frequency)
Having problems with keeping my urine flowing
It hurts to urinate
Having a tough time in getting my penis erect
Finding blood in my urine

What are the treatment options?
Going through the urethra to remove some of the prostate-Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP)
Using a laser to remove some of my prostate (Laser prostatectomy)
Making a cut into my stomach to take out my prostate (Radical retropubic prostatectomy)
Small cuts into my stomach using a robot to take out my prostate (Davinci aided laparoscopic prostatectomy)

Things to look out for with infections (Fever > 101 degrees, redness, drainage, pain)
