In my experiment I tried to extract the pure caffeine from the tea by brewing it first. Then i boiled the tea, trying to get rid of all of the water in it. When all of the water was evaporated i was left
with a black-brown solid.

Results
When the reaction was finished i expected to have about 14mg of pure caffeine, I got 27 mg of pure caffeine. Considering I started the experiment one day before it was due, I thought the experiment was gonna fail. In the tea label it said that there was 30mg of caffeine for every 10g. My experiment was not a total failure. If i had waited for 5 more minutes, I might of gotten 30mg caffeine for every 10g of tea
Conclusion
My experiment was not a failure whatsoever. The caffeine labeled does match the actual caffeine in the tea. This is surprising because food calorie on the label most of time are never close to the actual calorie count the food has.

Stupid fact: Casey Neistat (famous youtube producer) made a video on how the calories of the food he consumes dont really match the one on the labels.

The chemical compounds in tea are: Camellia sinensis plant is where tea comes from
Chemicals in it-Catechin, Epicatechin, Epicatechin Gallate, Gallocatechin, Epigallocatechin, Epigallocatechin Gallate


When I was left with the solid i had to dip it in hot corn oil to evaporate the water molecules trapped inside and have the pure caffeine along the side of the test tube.
