Master title basics
During preproduction you should clearly describe the purpose, audience, deliverables, and other considerations for the promo video that need to be resolved before production begins:
Client
: Joe’s Construction Cruisers. They use heavy equipment to prepare the land for large construction sites. Their tagline is “We Get the Dirty Jobs Done Right.”
Target audience
: Joe’s Construction Cruisers’ clients are construction companies that build malls, schools, and large office buildings.
Purpose
: To lead off an e-newsletter in a way that’s interesting enough to maintain client attention and motivate more clients to open the newsletter and read its contents.
Deliverable
: A 15-second video featuring high-quality video clips and music with a positive, upbeat feel and clearly delivering the client’s tagline. Technically, the video should be in H.264 YouTube 720p HD format, and it should be compressed so that it loads quickly online while still retaining acceptable image quality.
