The Maze Runner By James Dashner
Transcript of The Maze Runner By James Dashner
Setting and Plot
Thomas is a male main character. When the story starts he is trapped inside a box, he has no momeries of himself except his own name.
Teresa is the only female protagonist. When she was in the "box" she came with a note that said, "She's the last one. Ever." Teresa and Thomas have a mind connection in which they can speak to each other with.
The Keepers are a head group that controls what happens to the rest of the Glade. These people are the main bosses in their field of work.
The setting of "The Maze Runner" is a futuristic place above everything called The Glade. The Glade is an experiment site for a group called WICKED. WICKED stands for World In Catastrophe: Killzone Expiriment Department. The Glade is full of only guys and is surrounded by a maze they call The Maze.
At the beginning of the story, Thomas starts in a box with no memories of himself, only his name. He ends up in the Glade. He meets the keepers and everyone thinks that he is just a anther monthly newbie sent by WICKED, the hidden antagonist.
He gets used to living there when all of a sudden Teresa shows up with her note and everyone freaks out. Thomas becomes of the keepers when another keeper nominates Thomas as a replacement. All the keepers find out there is a secret code hidden in the maze and use it to their escape from the Glade.
Basic situation and Irony
The basic situation is when Thamos shows up and wierd things start to happen, including Teresa. The irony in "The Maze Runner" is situational. You wouldn't expect for a girl to arrive into the Glade because only guys have arrived, but instead Teresa, a girl, shows up.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes stories with near death situations and death in it, and to people who like adventurous books.
