What is a statistical question?
F is for friends
What's an example of a statistic question?

U is for you and me.
An example of a statistical question is "How many many do a 6th grade student typically spend on homework each night"?
Really!
This is a statistical question because when you are collecting data there will be variability in that data. So with the data you have then you will be able to find the anwer you need for the question you have.
A non-statistical is "am I chewing gum".

Its important to have a statistical question because its apart of your EVERYDAY life. For example when you need to know how many toothbrushes you need to bring back home for the family how many people live in the house then how many toothbrushes do you need?

What is a statistical question?
FUN
A statistical question is a question that can be answered using data that may vary. Any question that may be answered by a single number or answer is not considered a statistical question.
Another statistcal question is "How old are the dogs on your street?" This type of data would need to be collected from all the dog owners on the street, and the data may be subject to some variability.
