Belief Statement

We believe in the core values found in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These include; compassion, courtesy, critical inquiry, due process, equality of opportunity, honesty, human worth and dignity, justice, knowledge, loyalty, patriotism, reasoned argument, respect for others rights, responsibility, responsible citizenship, rule of law, self-respect, tolerance, and truth.

Mission Statement
To provide a safe and supportive environment where all students develop respect for self and others; and the life long learning skills necessary to participate responsibly in a changing world.
Meridian Elementary School has approximately 520 students in Young 5’s through Grade 4.

Mrs. Sarah Barratt is the building principal. Mrs. Linda Nankervis is the secretary. The staff consists of nineteen general education classroom teachers and three Special Education Teachers with support from Physical Education, Art, and Music Teachers. Additional support personnel are: Speech Teacher, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Title One teachers, Hearing Impaired Consultant, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, classroom paraprofessionals, custodial, maintenance and lunchroom personnel. We have 20 general education classrooms, 4 special education classrooms, 1 computer lab with 30 stations, 1 art room, 1 media center, 1 gym (hardwood floors with glass back boards), offices for the social worker, school psychologist, Title One teachers, and a kitchen.
