This book is about two children, Jamie and Claudia, running away. Claudia thinks that she is not being treated correctly by her parents. Claudia decides to run away to teach her parents a lesson. She needs someone with money, so she brings her brother Jamie. The children decide to hide in the Metro Politian Museum of Art. The children hide their bags around the museum. During the stay, they researched a mysterious sculpture named Angel, which might have been made by Michelangelo. Jamie and Claudia find many clues and finally go to its old owner, Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. The children look through her files all about Michelangelo and finally find a file with the answer. The file, Bologna, Italy, contained the answer to the big question. The file had the sketch of Angel signed by Michelangelo. In the end, Mrs. Frankweiler’s chauffeur, Parks, brings Jamie and Claudia back home. Inspiration Observing real life situations
