The median expected salary for a typical Staff Nurse - RN in the United States is $66,260. With taxes $42,382. Making $3,865/ month.
~Oakland University provides a PhD and either a masters or associates degree. Oakland is also known for their rigorous school of nursing. To get into this university for any course, you're required to get higher than an 18 on the ACT and a 3.2 GPA from high school.
Registered nurses work in hospitals, physicians' offices, home healthcare services, and nursing care facilities. They also work in correctional facilities, schools, summer camps, and with the military.
Registered Nursing (RN) requires a large base of knowledge used to assess, plan, and intervene to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness. They are health educators and supporters for patients, families, and communities. When providing direct patient care, nurses observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress, which provides the basis for care planning and intervention.
Duties of a Registered Nurse in a hospital or nursing home can be many things. Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for a wide variety of care provided to patients. Not only are they responsible for taking care of patients but they must delegate CNAs to supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
In this career you will be able to work with all patients, instead of just babies, elderly, or ill, its a variety of people to take care of.
Registered nurses usually train by completing a bachelor's or associate's degree program in nursing.
Graduates of any of these programs are generally eligible for licensure and entry-level employment as registered nurses.
Being a nurse is a rewarding job.
You learn great social qualities, and feel an accomplishment in helping others.
Sometimes you may even have that one patient that connects to you so much, that they grow and depend on you.
