Junior 2B Class Teacher English Lesson General Routine Methodology Maltese Lesson Creative Thinking Morning Routine

Blog: www.msgabyjunior2.wordpress.com General Routine English As part of the Curriculum we will be working on weekly booklets . These have a whole variation of: Grammar, Spelling and speaking and Listening activities
All this is done through:
Hands on Activities
Direct participation Speaking and Listening Methodology Making sure that we stay in line with the
Curriculum In a fun and Interactive Way working on fortnight themes, we will be linking up our curriculum to the current theme.
Our first theme :
Me and my Surroundings Using a Thematic Approach Become Active Learners We shall start off by :
Revising material covered last year, that is labeling images, creating captions and being able to write short phrases with images
We will carry on by:
The organization of Picture Stories
working on mind mapping
A variation of Writing examples such as diaries, letters and short stories. creative Writing Spelling The set readers will be changed every three weeks. While it is very important that the book is brought to school on a daily basis, I can't emphasis enough the importance of daily reading, at home. Reading Even though we shall be revising all the letter formation in a print format, making sure that all the children are very confident and carry no difficulty, eventually we will be introducing 'The Cursive Handwriting' Handwriting Creative Thinking Maltese Lessons Taħdit u Smigħ Initial and Ending sound
Working with għ, h, ħ
Working with vowels
Feminine and Masculine Grammatika Same system applies for the Maltese reading books, these will be changed ever 3 weeks.
Concurrently a Book Rotation system will be carried out, were children will be asked to donate a Maltese reading book and every week the children will have the possibility to swap their book with a friend's.
It is very important that Maltese reading is promoted, given that this enables the children to become fluent readers and acquire a new range of Maltese Vocabulary. Kitba Important Rules to follow:
Children must have a wide range of vocabulary
Know how to apply this same vocabulary within a context.
Verbally being able to use this same vocabulary and create short phrases.
Eventually we will proceed to :
Working with images, where children have to write labels and captions
Followed by short phrases/sentences Qari Dettatura Following the Jolly Phonic Program, children will be given a list of 8 Regular words and 2 Tricky Words, every Thursday.
Formal assessment will be carried out after a week on a Friday Providing the right opportunities
Model ways of learning
Share thinking skills, but at the same time allowing children to discover and experiment on their own We will be starting off with :
Revision of all areas covered in Junior 1
Working on all the alphabet: sound, sequence and formation
Initial and ending sound
Expanding the Maltese Vocabulary
We shall proceed with the following areas : A list of 7 Regular Words and 1 Tricky word will be given out on a weekly basis.
These same words will be the ones used throughout the week as part of our Thematic Approach We shall be talking about: Whilst I Thank You for your kind attention,
