The Indian Weddings By Takdir Hera B.The Mehendi Ceremony: The wedding decoration The wedding party arranges in either bride's house or any wedding hall.The materials are using for that usually different kinds flowers, colorful curtains and lighting. The wedding Feast On an indian lighter note,any wedding is considered incomplete without their sumptuous and delicious foods.In India, the arrangement of wedding feast is done by the bride's family.
The main course meal.

A.Engagement: The first steps before wedding is called an engagement ceremony also called as"Mangni"is held a month or a week ago of the wedding.The two families meet to perform rituals to make engagement official.A"Muhurat"(auspicious date and time)for the wedding to decided on this day.In certain tradition engagement is marked by the exchange of rings between the bride and groom to be then the couple is blessed by elders of both families. c.The Holdi Ceremony: According to indian cultural web page, Holdi is a ritual holy bath during which turmeric(holdi),oil and water is applied to both the bride and groom by married women. The next ceremony is called Mehendi or henna which make only 'aftemoon tea'.During mehendi ceremony the bride's hands and feet are decorated with intricate patterns by the application of henna. The Wedding Dresses or Attiere According to the bridrshire web page,the wedding dresses are very interesting part of the wedding ceremony.Traditionally the bride wears a sari or legenga which is highly ornate with gold and silver embroidery.The colors generally considered auspicious for the occasion are red,green,white,off white,pink,purple and orange.
The bride also dons elaborate and beautiful ornaments primarily made of gold and precious stones.
The groom wears a dhoti or sherwani also has a lot of subtle but intricate embroidery.The color is usually white,off white or beige. The Wedding Moment Finally,people think this is a lot of rituals,wait till the big wedding day.While the actual wedding ceremony itself is around three hours long,The arrival of the groom is an important and fun-filled event.Soon after the groom arrives,the bride and groom exchange garlands which consider an upper hand in the marriage.
Then,The seven vows or " saat phere" is the most important things of indian Hindu weddings.The vows or steps taken around the scared fire make the bond of marriage eternal.The bride and groom take seven round with together and each round they make a promise for new life.
After finish seven vows,the groom apply "kumkum" to the bride's forhead,welcoming her as his partner for life.Kumkum is the is the symbol of a married women.
The last moment of indian weddings are " Kanyadaan "which means the gift of a girl.The father of bride gives her right hand into grooms right hand and making bride a part of groom's family.
