Transcript of Evaluation Question 7

Evaluation Question 7 - Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product? This is a match on action shot, where we see the back of one of the characters head and past his head our eyes go meet with the antagonist of the story. This scene was edited as we play around with the lightings of this scene to create a darker look aswell as hide ahmed akhters face to keep some suspense in the story. This is our 180 degree rule shot. Instead of doing the 180 degree shot while in a conversation with some one else, we thought it would be clever if we used a mirror to show the rule making it look more effective all the way through out, aswell as slowly zooming in to the mirror to get the characters full image. This shot is a close up shot. This shot was used right at the end of the scene to leave the audience with a suspence filled ending. As you can see half of the protagonist's face is coverd by darkness, this is done delibratly as a half-hidden face could possiblely mean a half hidden past. This is from our preliminary task, the 180 degree is shown. As you can see we dont exactly have the right angle for the 180 degree rule but this is one of the mistakes we have noticed, focused on and improved. This our match on action shot from our preliminary task. Even though we made lots of mistake which we have learnt from but we have also improved on parts which we actually did good on.
