The inventor of blue jeans Levi Strauss Levi Strauss the inventor of denim blue jeans Lob Strauss (later called Levi Strauss)
At the age of 18 he sold dry goods around the little village of Buttenheim
He had 2 step-brothers, Jonas and Louis
He was Jewish
He had 2 sisters, Vogela and Maila
No education
At the age of 18 his family decided to go to the United States
After 48 days on a ship Strauss saw a harbor
In his new country he got used to people calling him Levi instead of Lob and that's how he was named Levi

Strauss died on September 26, 1902 in San Francisco, California because of an illness. He was buried in Home of Peace Cemetery,Colma, California. He was a white male who majored in business. Strauss's executive summary was blue jeans. When Levi was selling rough canvas to a prospector he said " you should have brought pants!"
He used canvas to make waist overalls
Miners like his pants, but they complained that they kind of chafed sometimes
The fabric known as denim made the pants nicknamed blue jeans for the blue on the denim
Levi used a twilled cotton cloth called "serge de Nimes" the second time to make jeans
On May 20, 1873 Levi Strauss & Company received US Patient No. 139,121
If Levi Strauss was alive today he would make better jeans. He would use new types of fabrics because he invented blue jeans and discovered denim jeans. He would have created new trends in fashion.
He invented blue jeans which made prospectors more comfortable. They became an international symbol of American freedom and casual style
The company sold other clothes, but blue jeans were still the most popular and gave prospectors more clothing options at work
Levi Strauss & Company became the world's largest manufacturer of brand-named apparel
Levi Strauss & Company was known for its commitment to social causes and fair treatment of its workers
In 1902 the company created "Koveralls", overalls for kids, so kids had more options of clothes to wear. They were sold all around the US
