PARENT PLUS LOANS
If your plans include borrowing a Parent Loan to help reduce the educational costs.
Application is completed online at www.studentloans.gov
Decision is usually instant
Interest accrues at 6.31% payments can be deferred until the student completes his/her undergraduate degree
If denied; you may seek endorser or we will offer the student and additional $4000.00 Unsubsidized Loan
A promissory note will be required prior to the funds being disbursed. Promissory note is done online at www.studentloans.gov

The PLUS Loan Fee is 4.2% and it is taken off each disbursement:

All new students must complete the verification process. 2015 Parent & Student (if available) Federal Tax Return Transcript and W-2 Forms. www.IRS.gov

Use Data Retrieval on FAFSA and Submit W-2 forms www.FAFSA.gov
If your student will be borrowing student loans, they must complete the following:
Entrance Counseling Session
Master Promissory Note
Spring Disbursement $10,000.00 – Loan Fee$420.00 = Actual Disbursement $9580.00

Satisfactory Academic Progress
Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to renew their Financial Aid.
Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA (checked at the end of spring).
Students must pass 67% of their cumulative attempted units.
Student starts at 16, but drops 4 =75%
FAFSA will be available on 10/01/16.
2015 financial information will be used again for the 2017-2018 year
All financial aid information will be sent to the student via their Pacific e-mail.
Award packages for continuing students will be completed in June

If you were not awarded a Cal Grant for 16-17- Make sure to have your HS certify your GPA for 17-18 using your senior grades.
