If I was an engineering manager, my schedule might look a little something like this: I would wake up in the morning perhaps at 6 or 7 and get ready for the day. I go to work, check my emails and inform myself on new developments concerning any active projects.

After that, depending on what stage of development I am in, I would consult with other planners and engineers on what needs accomplishing for that day. I might then have lunch, after which I would go onto the construction site and make sure all safety measures are being followed, tasks being executed correctly, and in general making sure that everything is going according to schedule to make sure we reach the deadline.

That would take up the afternoon and maybe around 7:00 pm I might go home. After that, depending on what stage of development I am in, I would consult with other planners and engineers on what needs accomplishing for that day. Next I would check that all necessary materials are in place and accounted for, and see to it that there are no discrepancies in the budget.
