HOW TO MAKE CREPES 1.) Purchase all the materials and ingredients that you do not have. You can purchase most of the ingredients at your local grocery store. 1 packet of vanilla sugar

3 cups of all purpose flour

half of a stick of butter

3 eggs

1 1/2 cups of milk

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon of rum

1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract Materials:
1 large bowl
1 measuring cup
1 mixing whisk
1 ladle or a very large spoon
1 pan
1 spatula
a stove
1 plate 2.) Next, get 3 cups of flour, add the 1 packet of vanilla sugar, 3 eggs, and 1/2 a cup of melted butter into the batter. After that, grab your whisk and mix the ingredients together thoroughly. 3.) After the batter is smooth add in 1/2 of a teaspoon of vanilla extract, or rum. For the rum you can add 1 -2 tablespoons of rum into the mix. 4.) After that step, add about 1 1/2 cups of milk. Make sure you add in the milk gradually. Once the batter is the right consistency(no lumps and not too liquidy) spread 2 spoon fulls of vegetable oil or some nonstick butter on your pan so your crepes don't stick to your pan and so it is easy to flip your crepes. You should have the batter rested for about an hour before you start making your crepes. 5.) Then, heat your stove to medium. Next, scoop up one full batter with the ladle or a large spoon into the pan. Make sure that you rotate your pan so the batter has a thin coating at the bottom of the pan. Then flip your crepe to the other side after about one or two minutes. Or once that side is golden brown. Then after about 30 seconds on that side flip your crepe onto a plate. 6.) Once you have finished making your crepes, you can choose to add fresh fruit, jelly, Nutella, sugar, or anything else inside or on top of your crepes. Or you could simply just eat your Crepe plain. Voil`a!
Now you know how to cook a French dessert: The history of Crepes:
Crepes are basically thin pancakes.
Crepes originated from Bretagne(Brittany), France in the Northwest region of France.
Crepes were first called Galettes which meant "flat cake".
Every February 2nd , there is a Crepe holiday in France called Fete de la Chandeleur, Fete de la Lumiere, or Jour de Crepes. They mean day of crepes, or festival of crepes. Credits/Resources If you feel creative or you want a challenge, you can try and make your own crepe boat. Ingredients: Lori

May 26th, 2013 Here are some Youtube videos on how to make the crepes. Enjoy! If you speak or understand french, this is the perfect video for you. 7.) You can eat your crepes sweet or savory. For a savory crepe you might choose to add spinach, cheese, ham, egg, or mushrooms. As for a sweet crepe, you can add fruit, chocolate, sugar cinnamon, ice cream, and basically anything that is sweet. Lastly, you have to fold your crepes correctly. The traditional way of folding your crepe is by first folding it so it make a semi-circle.
Then by folding it one more time so it becomes a triangle. Fernadez, Juan
