Unit 7: Networking Venture Philanthropy
‘networking’ is the active practice of combining, expanding, and exploring
what you know
with
who you know
.
Networking is intricately tied to venture philanthropy because venture philanthropy requires a balance between
knowledge
and
relationships
in order to be both successful and sustainable.
As arts leaders, your task is to consistently be aware of how to maintain equitable access between what you know and who you know.

CDVCA promotes the field by combining advocacy, education, communications, and best-practice dissemination through conferences and workshops. CDVCA makes its expertise available to CDVC funds by providing consulting services and technical assistance.
