Good and bad messages in the media Jesus of suburbia by Green Day BAD MESSAGE GOOD MESSAGE Music video -The song Jesus of suburbia is talking about what will
happen to society if we keep acting this way. As people
who don't care. The song follows Jesus of suburbia, a man who does not care what happens to him. He lives in a town he hates and wants to escape. Music Video The song is split into 5 acts

Jesus of suburbia- Jesus is a man born and raised in the world of the ghetto suburban area of town. The community was basically just sex, drugs, violence repeated. He sees himself as the 'big man' of the suburban, naming himself "Jesus of Suburbia." He believes this is what the world is like now and he wants to escape it. He lives in a broken family of rage and love.

Lyrics : I'm the son of rage and love The Jesus of Suburbia; On a steady diet of Soda pop and Ritalin; I don't care- Now Jesus of suburbia doesn't care anymore. He tells his opinion of the world, how it is pathetic and full of crap that doesn't make sense anymore. He notices that all people are born by hypocrites and people are all messed up in this town of lies. He realizes he needs to leave his town to live the life that he wants it to be.

lyric: Everyone is so full of s***, Born and raised by hypocrites; Land of make believe, And I don't believe
And I don't care! Lyrics Dearly Beloved- He was involved with the society (he was drunk, did drugs, and was involved in sexual intercourse with a woman and then he has his sudden realization that the society is screwed over and he wants to leave the town. He is now questioning his 'loved one' if she understands anything he's saying because he seems to be the only one in society who thinks this way.

lyrics: Dearly beloved are you listening? I can't remember a word that you were saying; Oh, therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed? City of the damned- This part of the song points out how he was raised. Raised in the sketchy suburban town. It points out, out that basically, enjoyment is from what you want to do. In this town, everything is sex, drugs and violence so that doesn't matter anymore. He also points out, the town is going nowhere, making no progress in the human race. Not making a change in 'Suburbia' would lead to the 'end of the world,' which basically means that life has no meaning anymore.

Lyrics : The motto was just a lie It says home is where your heart is; City of the damned, Lost children with dirty faces today, No one really seems to care Tales from another broken home- Hes now running from this suburban city. He runs to live the life he was supposed to live. He leaves to live a fresh start. He forgets his old life to live a better life.

Lyrics : And I leave behind This hurricane of f***ing lies; I lost my faith to this This town that don't exist What makes you beautiful by One direction The meaning of the song is encouraging the girl to stay insecure and have low self esteem. The message is making girls be insecure to be beautiful. You're insecure, Don't know what for, You're turning heads when you walk through the door.

they're telling the girl to be insecure to be beautiful Oh oh, You don't know you're beautiful,Oh oh, That's what makes you beautiful

beautiful to him I'm the son of rage and love
The Jesus of Suburbia
From the bible of none of the above
On a steady diet of
Soda pop and Ritalin
No one ever died for my sins in hell
As far as I can tell
At least the ones I got away with

And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me

Get my television fixed
Sitting on my crucifix
The living room or my private womb
While the Moms and Brads are away
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes
And Mary Jane
To keep me insane,
Doing someone else's cocaine

And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
