A Highschool English Teacher ACADEMIC SKILLS What is a teacher? * Well a teacher is someone who shows someone how to do something especially in a classroom setting
*Josiah and myself would like to become highschool english teachers
* English teachers are responsible for helping students comprehend the language by means of reading,writing, and oral communication
* They have to plan and prepare course work as well as explain curriculam material

* Teachers usually come in early and leave late daily to; assist students requiring help, mark assessments, and plan/outline coursework

* Becoming a English teacher involves many specific post secondary courses and many skills like those in the next slides * There are many essential academic and non- academic skills that are required because the teacher in a classroom is solely responsible for their students

NON- ACADEMIC SKILLS

* The greatest skills that a teacher can have are:
-responsibility -effective communication
-patience -leadership
-organization/planning -hardworking
-understanding -time management
-drive -teaching To become an English teacher you must excel in english by effective oral, reading, and writing skills
