Who is Cady Heron?
Cady Heron: white girl from Africa.

Home schooled and now starting public high school for the first time.

Moves to America to be more socialized.

First day of school: ate lunch in the bathroom.

She wasn't liked by the other kids at first.

Second day of school, Cady is befriended by two outcasts, Janis Ian and Damien.
The Plastics

Regina George (Leader), Gretchen Wieners (follower), Karen Smith (the dumb one)

Jason asks Cady, "Has anyone buttered your muffin? Would you like someone to be assigned to butter your muffin?"

Regina George steps in and this is how Cady first comes into contact with the group.
"Yeah. He's almost too gay to function."
Cady degrades her teacher, Ms. Norbury, in the burnbook.
Officially becoming the plastic
Blows off Janis Ian's art show for a party.

"You're not pretending anymore You're plastic. Cold, shiny hard plastic."
Stops hanging out with original friends.

Grades deteriorate.

Relationship with family turns sour.
"I bet she sells drugs on the side to pay for her pathetic divorce."
"On Wednesdays we wear pink"
Cady had to look a certain way to stay in the group

Regina couldn't sit with them for wearing sweatpants
Step 6
In the beginning, Regina would tell Cady to shut up.

Over time, Cady began to do the same with others.
Cady: "No shut up. Not her property."

Aaron Samuels: "Don't tell me to shut up. God, you know what? You are just like a clone of Regina."
Uncritical Conformity to Group Norms
Step 7
Passive Tolerance of Evil Through Inaction or Indifference
At the mall, Jason (Gretchen's fling) is hanging out with Taylor (random girl).

Regina calls her mom.

"This is Susan from Planned Parenthood. I have her test results. If you can have her give me a call as soon as she can. It's urgent."

Cady does nothing but watch.
Critical Questions
What was/is your villain’s ultimate goal? Did they need to resort to evil to accomplish this?

Cady's goal in the beginning was to sabotage Regina's life after Regina had kissed Aaron Samuels at a Halloween party, but eventually she let power get to her head and became too obsessed with getting back at her.

Who is the hero to counteract your villain?

Ms. Norbury helped Cady finally confess for the wrongs she did. In the end, Cady comes to terms with what she has done and apologizes to everyone she hurt.
