Public Policy Idea
Unemployment is a big problem in the U.S. Unemployment can put people into poverty. During the time that workers are out of a job, they're capable of losing the skills for this specific job. One solution to unemployment is government funded employment.
Costs and benefits
If unemployment decreases, then it will benefit the workers from being in poverty and they'll begin to start making money again. It could look good for the business by having more people. If unemployment increases, then more families will be unable to meet their financial needs. Having enough workers to get the job done will have the support and benefits that potential workers need for their lives.
My thoughts
I support the policy for unemployment. People will still get financial help even if they don't have a job at the moment because it's not the persons fault when they become unemployed. I feel everybody should have some kind of support whether you have a job or no job at all. The main goal of this program is to give people more time to search for a job without worrying about when's the next time they'll get money to pay for bills or food.
