a question
An elderly patient with many serious health problems has been for tests that indicate an advanced stage of prostrate cancer, and today he is coming to see you in order to find out what the results say.

You know he has travel plans next week for a short holiday to revisit some happy memories while he is still able to do this.

On previous occasions with you over recent years he has been exceptionally devastated at the news of a whole series of adverse diagnoses.

He is unlikely to have any further medical events over the few weeks while on holiday, and this delay in his palliative treatment will not lead to significant worsening of his condition.
