"Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus
: "I came in like a wrecking ball" (Line 13)
: "I just closed my eyes and swung, left me crashing in a blazing fall" (Line 36)
: "Were ashes on the ground" (Line 23)
: "I fell under your spell" (Line 4)
The overall theme of the pop ballad "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus is that love can end up becoming destructive. In response to her partner in the one sided relationship, Miley responds by continuously saying 'you wreck me'. The theme proves to listeners that love can not be forced, because the end result will be heartbreak.
This line shows importance because it compares the narrator to a strong and damaging wrecking ball within her recent relationship.
This is important because it tells the listener how she was blinded within the relationship and didnt know who she was actually falling in love with.
This line is important because its an exaggeration for the narrator falling in love with somebody, although in reality she didn't fully understand who the person was that she was falling for.
This metaphor is important because it shows that at the end of the relationship, she was left with nothing except for a broken heart.

Why i chose this song:
Interesting fact: Miley's legal name is actually Destiny Hope Cyrus
