Long-range goal: Have completed my training for medical assistant and found a job as a medical assistant and have my house,car How im going to pay for college? Well Im going to see if i can get any scholarships to help me or apply for FASFA and if NOT then i will work to pay my college. Medical Assisting classes to take in CCCUA GPA My GPA for this year is 3.5 but hopefully it can go up at least a little bit.
I'm planning to take my ACT for the first time in April. I'm planning to register for any scholarship i can and hoping by the end of my senior year i will have the right point average and a good ACT score to qualify for a scholarship. Im planning to stay here because CCCUA is close to home and i wont have to move away from my family and have to move with my daughter. Take patient history and measure vital signs
Help the physician with patient examinations
Give patient injections as directed by the physician

Administering medications as directed by the physician
Discussing prescriptions and nutrition with patientscheduling appointments

Their duties vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice. A medical assistant get paid $14.67 per hour. Education On average, a medical assistant spends two years in a training program that results in an associate's degree or a certificate. Medical assistants typically have a high school diploma or equivalent. There are no formal educational requirements for becoming a medical assistant in most states. However, some medical assistants graduate from formal education programs, and employers may prefer such training. Programs are available from community colleges, vocational schools, technical schools, or universities and take about 1 year to complete. These programs usually lead to a certificate or diploma. Some community and junior colleges offer 2-year programs that lead to an associate’s degree.
