Woodwind Family
The Woodwind instruments are the piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone and the bassoon. They are all played by mouth.
The Piccolo was created by Michael Janus around 1800. The instrument first appeared in an orchestra around 1800. It was invented in Italy.
Bass Clarinet
The Bass Clarinet was invented in the 1800's. It was invented by Heinrich Grenser. It was invented in Germany.
Alto Saxophone
The Alto Saxophone was invented in the 18th century by a Belgian clarinetist named Adolph Sax.
The saxophone was made in Paris.
Woodwind Family
