Occupations in Dietary & Nutrition Services:
Dietetic Technicians will gather nutrition assessment information, counsel individuals,
develop menus, perform nutrient analysis, purchase food, and supervise employees
Education Required: 6–12 months on the job
One or more years HSE or food service career/technical program
Dietitian,RD ( registered)
Dietitian RD's or Nutritionists manage food service systems , assess patient nutritional needs,plan menus, teach there proper nutrition etc..
Dietetic Technician: work under the supervision of dietitians, plan menus, order foods, standardize and test recipes, assist with food preparation, provide basic dietary instruction, and teach classes on proper nutrition.
