He was born on August 28, 1965 in Tokyo, Japan.
His father was a Nissan salesman, and his mother took care of him at home.
He grew up in Machida, Tokyo.
He loved to explore the outdoors
when he was a child.

Achievements
In 1981 when he was 16 years old, he won a contest sponsored by SEGA.
He made a magazine called Game Freak, and that became quite popular among the gaming crowd.
IGN (Imagine Games Network) chose him to be one of the top 100 game creators of all time.
Electronic Gaming Monthly credited him as one of the 10 most important people who made the modern video game market.

I think this person is interesting because he created some of the games I enjoyed playing.
