NO EASY DAY
by: Mark Owen Osama Bin Laden is a major terrorist leader that both the CIA and our Military have been looking for since the attacks on September 11, 2001 In 2007 the CIA got a lead that Osama (UBL) was hiding up in the mountains wearing "flowing white robes". The U.S. sent some Navy Seals to investigate, but it ended up being nothing. Later Public sources find out that Osama was hiding in a $1million compound built in 2005, close to the Pakistan Military Academy. Mark Owen decided he wanted to be a Navy SEAL in Jr. High after reading some books and kept to his dream, and now he is an American Hero along with all his fellow SEALS After going through tons of training he became a SEAL.

Then He got chosen to train with the green team and proved himself to make it on Navy SEAL team 6 and was a team leader for the Bin Laden mission Before the Bin Laden mission was confirmed for a go the White House was trying to think of other ways to attack the compound, like an air strike.

Since the Compound was located in a common neighborhood and next to the Pakistan Military Academy they eventually gave the mission a go to fly in the SEALs by Helicopter from Jalalibad Airfield. (a few miles outside the Pakistan border) The Mission started off bad because one of the choppers crash landed (Thankfully it landed propped up on the wall keeping the blades from hitting the ground) Everyone was OK. Once all the SEALS got in to position the mission went smoothly. They killed all the Men, including Osama Bin Laden.

Only one man tried to fight back who was Al-Kuwaiti. Out of all the things Osama has done he did not even attempt to defend himself when the SEALS raided the compound; He did not even pick up his gun. "The higher up the food chain the targeted individual was, the bigger a ***** he was. The leaders were less willing to fight. It is always the young and impressionable who strap on the explosives and blow themselves up"

"There is no honor in sending people to die for something you won't even fight for yourslef"

-Mark Owen Mark Owen was introduced to guns early in his childhood

He grew up in a small town in Alaska, and was always out hunting with his Dad After his High School Graduation he decided he was going to the Navy, but his Dad told him to at least get through one year of college to see different career options

He went through four years at a small college in California and then still decided to go be a Navy SEAL Here are some more of Marks quotes from his book... "My goal from the start was to tell the true story of the raid and show the sacrifices made by SEALs at the command" "For the SEALs who didn't make it home, their sacrifice is not in vain. Some were lost fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. Others died training to fight. We hold them close to our hearts and know they died for something so much bigger then themselves. Despite knowing risks, men like these continue to willingly sacrifice everything" "Don't just live, but live for a purpose bigger than yourself. Be an asset to your family, community, and country."
