EXPOSITION

TECHNIQUE
Fletcher is a really successful lawyer. He has a son named Max. Max is sick and tired because his dad has been telling him lies all his life, but Fletcher tries to explain to him that lying is necessary and a must for adults.

For his birthday, Max makes a very bizarre wish. He wishes for his father not to be able to lie for an entire day, surprisingly, something he has never thought to be possible, happens and his wish comes true. Fletcher is not able to lie, not even small white lies. Such situation causes many troubles to Fletcher at the law firm, as well as in the court since he needs to lie in order to defend his clients. Fletcher discovers his son’s wish and tries to convince him to undo it, but it does not work because the wish has to last exactly 24 hours.

Somehow, Fletcher manages to win a divorce case on trial without saying a lie. However, he discovers how important it is to spend time with his son and not to tell him lies. After the trial, he runs fast to the airport to catch Max’s plane. To stop the plane, Fletcher causes an accident and gets hurt. Eventually, they get together and Fletcher promises Max not to lie to him ever again.

Your coach will read the first sentences. Then choose a partner and read the plot of "Liar, Liar" and get the new vocabulary! Be ready to compete against your classmates to see who reads it better!
