Nouns Adjectives Verbs Nouns name people, places, or things. Adjectives describe nouns. Verbs show actions that nouns do. school students dogs friends blue excited three hairy ran are sitting saw open Now let's put some nouns, verbs, and adjectives together. The hairy dogs ran outside.
My three friends are in school.
Some students are sitting under the blue umbrella.
When our school opens, we are excited.
