By Zaaer Zaeem The History of Cars 14th May, 1886, The first motor was invented by Karl Benz where he had finished the first automobile and was ready for a test drive. 4th June, 1895. The first pneumatic Tyre by Michelin which he introduces the first pneumatic car Tyre. 17th January, 1899. The electric car broke the 1 mile a minute (97km/h). Frenchman Camille Jenatzy`s invented an electric car that the broke the one mile a minute barrier. 1 mile a minute is 97 kph. 19th Jul, 1903. Ford`s motor company opens in 1903. In the first year the Ford motor company sold about 1,700 cars. 16th Nov, 1908. Ford`s 1908 tin Lizzie In 1908. Henry Ford made his fist model-T car AKA the Tin Lizzie. 4th June, 1910. First wheel brakes fitted to a motorcar. Four wheel brakes fitted for the first time in a Scottish made Argyll. Front brakes operated by a foot pedal, a hand lever operates the rear brakes. 15th Mar, 1914. Rolls Royce was founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce. They found Rolls Royce after having met 20 years ago. 4th Jun, 1916. First windscreen wipers fitted to a motorcar Willys-Knight of the USA fits mechanical windscreen wipers to a car. 28th Apr, 1926. Parry Thomas sets a new land speed record of 272km/h in Pendine Wales UK. 30th May, 2005. Bugatti Veyron is introduced. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the fastest production car with a speed of 431 kph. 4th Jun, 1938. The Volkswagen Beetle starts production in Germany. These were made closely to the original design until 2003 in Mexico 28th Mar, 1948. First All-Australian car. The first all-australian car was the Holden 48-215 and was commonly known as the FX. 30th Oct, 1963. Lamborghini was founded in 1963 where Ferricco Lamborghini founded the Lamborghini on the 30th of October. October 23, 2008. The Bloodhound is a super sonic car that is created by the international education initiative Bloodhound Project to attempt a 1,000 mph world land speed record.
