through holiness by Bruce Wilkinson

"When we think of holiness, great saints of the past like Francis of Assisi or George Mueller spring to mind-or contemporary giants for the faith like Mother Teresa. But holiness is not the private preserve of an elite corps of martyrs, mystics, and Nobel Prize Winners. Holiness is the everyday business of every Christian. -Chuck Colson
1. Turning your heart
toward holiness
"The destined end of man is not happiness, nor health, but holiness. God is not an eternal blessing machine for men. He did not come to save men out of pity; He came to save men because He had created them to be holy.-Oswald Chambers
"Then Moses said, 'I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.' So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, 'Moses, Moses!' And he said, 'Here I am.' Then he said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground."

No, we are not defeated; we are simply disobedient. It might be well if we stopped using the terms 'victory' and 'defeat' to describe our progress in holiness. Rather we should use the terms 'obedience' and 'disobedience.' -Jerry Bridges
