• Ecologists: sustainable urban development
• Technologists: cars in air/on rails, virtual/monitored city

• Virtualization of cities
• Speeding up of information transmission

• Internet is main element
• New possibilities of communication, information collecting, work, life in general
• Online banking, online offer of services, virtual department stores
• --> virtual activities influence city development
3.4.) Ecological/Sustainable City
• Biggest environmental problem is growing traffic
--> big areas, pollution
• Measures: renunciation of cars/increase of attractiveness of public transport system
• Free areas can be planted
• Smaller ways between living, shopping, working
• Saving of resources
• Wind/solar energy, waste recovery
• Reduce of water consumption
• Ideally: balance between used and produced resources
