Transcript of Making a Desk Chair

Step 2
Unscrew the wood-top from the metal base. Step 1

Go to your local thrift store(s) and buy a desk that you would typically find in an elementary school. UPHOLSTERED DESK-CHAIR
you will need the following:

hot glue gun
glue sticks
screw driver
2 yards of upholstery fabric (at least 54" wide)
sewing needle
thread (matching the fabric)
sewing machine
spray paint Step 3
Buy a foam pad or feather
pillow as your seat cushion.
(I used a feather pillow
beacause it is easier to
upoholster.) Step 4
Measure your pillow size and cut it down if
necessary to fit the size of the desk. Step 5
Sew the three sides of the pillow covering together and leave a 14" space open on the fourth side. After sewing turn the covering inside out and push corners out a 90 degree angle. Suff the pillow into the covering and hand stitch the 14" hole with a simple stitch. Step 6
Start upholstering. Start by hot gluing the fabric to the bottom side near the front of the seat. Step 7
Continue the gluing process on the top side of desk and get the fabric tight and in place. Then continue onto the sides abd back. Step 8
There are many ways to do corners but I folded mine like the picture above. Step 9
Fold in corners and glue the edges like the picture shown.
