AGE: 38 HEIGHT: 6'0 WEIGHT: 252LBS
MR. BURNS IS ABOUT TO FIRE HOMER FROM HIS JOB AT THE NUCLEAR PLANT BECAUSE OF THE RISING COST OF INSURANCE DUE TO HOMER'S OBESITY PROBLE. HIS LEISURE TIME IS SPENT ON THE COUCH WATCHING THE ITCHY AND SCRATCHY SHOW WITH HIS KIDS OR HANGING OUT WITH HIS FRIENDS.

HIS EXERCISE CONSISTS OF WALKING BACK AND FORTH FROM THE VENDING MACHINES, MOWING THE LAWN AFTER MUCH NAGGING FROM MARGE AND HIS WEEKLY BOWLING LEAGUE GAMES. HIS CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE AND FLEXIBILITY ARE POOR. HIS MUSCULAR STRENGTH IS AVERAGE AND HE ALREADY HAS A PACEMAKER.

HOMER NEEDS TO GET OFF HIS DUFF AND GET SOME HELP BEFORE HE HAS ANOTHER HEART ATTACK. HIS GOALS ARE TO LOSE WEIGHT WITH AS LITTLE EFFORT AS POSSIBLE, HAVE MORE ENERGY SO HE DOESN'T SLEEP ON THE JOB AND GAIN MORE STRENGTH AND POWER SO HE CAN BOWL BETTER.
THE CLIENT
AGE: 20 HEIGHT: 6'0 WEIGHT: 137LBS
IN HIS NEVER ENDING QUEST TO CATCH THE ROAD RUNNER, WILE E. COYOTE IS LOOKING FOR A WAY TO GET IN BETTER SHAPE. HIS CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE IS POOR AND HE USUALLY FEELS RUN DOWN ALL OF THE TIME. HE HAS POOR MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE, BUT HE IS VERY FLEXIBLE. HE IS ACCIDENT PRONE AND WILL NEED SAFE ACTIVITIES.
WILE E. COYOTE SPENDS HIS TIME CHASING THE ROAD RUNNER. HE HAS NO FRIENDS. HIS FITNESS GOALS ARE TO GAIN SOME WEIGHT AND IMPROVE HIS REACTION TIME, AND HIS MUSCULAR ENDURANCE AND CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE.
THE CLIENT
A SURFING CONTEST HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED AND SANDY DESPERATELY WANTS TO IMPRESS LARRY THE LOBSTER. ALTHOUGH SHE IS AN ATHLETE WITH NATURAL ABILITY IN EVERYTHING SHE DOES, SHE HAS NO REAL TRAINING PLAN. SHE LOVES EXTREME SPORTS AND IS A DAREDEVIL WHO JUST JUMPS INTO TRYING ANY OF THEM, SOMETIMES INJURING HERSELF IN THE PROCESS. SHE DOES PRACTICE KARATE ON A REGULAR BASIS WITH HER BEST FRIEND SPONGE BOB. HER MUSCULAR STRENGTH IS AVERAGE, SHE HAS OK BODY COMPOSITION BUT HER FLEXIBILITY AND CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE IS POOR.

Congratulations on completing your trainer certification! You are now ready to enter the work force. There are several clients with specific needs waiting to interview you. There are a few things you need to complete before the interview.
Create a resume' that explains your specialty areas.
Develop a workout based on the clients needs and goals.
Create a method for your client to track their progress.
Explain in detail how the workout will help the client meet their goals.
Choose a presentation method.
STEPS TO FOLLOW
1. CREATE A TWO WEEK SAMPLE WORK OUT FOR EACH CLIENT BASED ON THIER GOALS AND NEEDS. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR SPECIALTY.
2. FIND THE CLIENTS BMI AND EXPLAIN WHAT IT MEANS, TELL THEM WHAT THEIR HEALTHY WEIGHT SHOULD BE
3. YOUR WORKOUT SHOULD INCLUDE AT LEAST THREE OF THE WORKOUT STYLES WE HAVE WORKED ON.
4. EACH WORKOUT SHOULD GIVE DETAILS OF WHICH COMPONENT EACH EXERCISE MEETS. THERE SHOULD BE A WARM UP AND A COOL DOWN AND THE WORKOUT SHOULD FOLLOW THE FITT PRINCIPLES.

MEG IS A TEENAGE GIRL WITH LOW SELF ESTEEM. SHE THINKS OF HERSELF AS UGLY AND FAT. SHE WOULD LIKE TO BE MORE POPLAR, BUT KNOWS THAT HER LOOKS ARE HOLDING BACK. SHE TRULY NEEDS TO BE CONVINCED THAT EXERCISE WILL IMPROVE HER MOOD AND BODY IMAGE.
AS A RESULT OF HER POOR SELF ESTEEM, MEG EATS TO COMPENSATE FOR HER FEELINGS. HER EXERCISE PLAN IS NON-EXISTENT. SHE WOULD RATE POOR IN EVERY FITNESS TEST. SHE IS LOW IN EVERY COMPONENT
MEG'S GOALS ARE TO GET STARTED IN A FUN AND BALANCED EXERCISE PROGRAM.
SANDY CHEEKS
