Transcript of Salmonella

Salmonella bongori, is one of two species of salmonella. The bongori species was found in 1966 in a lizard in the town of Bongor, Chad
Salmonella enterica
Salmonella enterica is the second species of salmonella. Both Salmonella enterica, and bongori have multiple sub-species.

because salmonella is a type of food poisoning, you will get sick for up too 5-7days, you can pass the infection on and there isn't really a treatment, it just goes away over time
Most cases of salmonella just go away after a about a week of resting. if your case gets really severe and you have to be hospitalized, the doctors will prescribe you an antibiotic.
~ Salmonella is more common in the summer time then the winter when its cold

Some symptoms of salmonella consist of:
Stomach cramps, nausae, vomiting, fever, chills, diarreha, headaches and blood in your waste.
Salmonella is a type of food poisoning, most types are the most common in the USA
Salmonella is transported through food that is contaminated. Or if you pick up your pets feces and don't wash your hands you can be infected. Beef, eggs, poultry, and milk are food products that are more likely to be contaminated .
Reptiles such as snakes and lizards, baby chickens, and small rodents like hamsters or gerbils are also most likely to carry salmonella.
You would have to take some time off of work or school to be able to recover fully. If your case of salmonella gets really bad. It is because your body gets to dehydrated to function and the doctors will pump fluids into your body for you.
