Oderzo was an old Roman City and we can still admire the remains of an ancient Roman civilization.

The mosaics are one of the UNESCO World Heritage monuments.
They represent Biblical images.
We will see those on the floor of the cathedral.

The small and quiet village of Aquileia lies in the plain of Friuli not far from the lagoon of Grado. It was one of the most famous towns of the Roman Empire.
Grado, the "Golden Island", lies in a picturesque lagoon among a myriad of small islands.
Walking along the seafront you can also enjoy an amazing view on the river Karst, Trieste and the Istrian Coast.
Saint Anthony of Padua was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1195.
When he died his body was transferred to the Basilic in Padua.
SAINT ANTHONY'S CATHEDRAL
Erasmo of Narni better known as "Gattamelata" was one of the most famous mercenaries during the Renaissance.
He was the subject of Donatello's equestrian bronze sculpture in the square of Padua in front of the cathedral.
In the Scrovegni Chapel, dedicated to St. Mary of the Charity,there are amazing frescos by Giotto.
The frescos narrate the life of the Virgin Mary and the Universal Judgement.
The Pedrocchi Café is a café founded in the centre of Padua.
Students come here to celebrate their graduation.
It is also a meeting for artists and intellectuals like the Italian writer Dario Fo.
The University of Padua is one of the oldest Italian universities.
It was founded in 1222 as a school of law.
The heart of the city is Piazza dei Signori with Palazzo dei Trecento and the elegant Loggia dei Cavalieri.
You can enjoy the magic of Treviso walking along the waterways.You can discover unusual sights and the atmosphere of a quiet city life.

In the main square we can see..
The Torresin is a modern reconstruction of an ancient gateway.
In the floor of the square we find a sundial calendar.
The cathedral is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and is in Gothic-Roman style.
St Mark's Cathedral is located in the square which has taken the same name.
It is covered with golden mosaics which tell Venice's history.
Burano is famous for the "merletti"
In Murano we will see how glass is made.
Torcello is well known because it was conquered by Attila.

beautiful villages in Italy.
We can visit the castle, the remains of an amphitheatre in Villa Freya and the Rocca.
She was one of the most important Italian actresses of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, undisputed symbol of the modern theater.
She was Gabriele D' Annunzio's mistress.
The Canova art Gallery is a museum located in Possagno, dedicated to the works of the sculptor Antonio Canova. A part of the museum was also the home of the artist.
Antonio Canova was an Italian sculptor who became famous for the Neoclassical style .

Villa Barbaro, also known as the Villa di Maser, is a large villa in Maser.
It was designed and built by the Italian architect Andrea Palladio, with frescos by Paolo Veronese.
The villa was added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1996.

Freya Stark was a British explorer and travel writer.
She wrote a lot of books on her travels in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
She spent her childhood in Asolo.
