Transcript of Propaganda Project
Period 7 odd
10/11/12 Propaganda This propaganda is Bandwagon. I believe this because there are many people in the car going, so it makes you think " oh look at all of those people doing it. Maybe I should too". When a lot of people do something it makes you want to do it too.
I think that the goal of this propaganda is to get you to send people into the military to help fight the war.
I believe this because the propaganda poster says "Help Win the War, Squeeze in one more". I think that "Squeeze in one more" means to send another person to help.
I believe that because there are lots of people in the car already going, but there are never too many.
I think don't that this propaganda is effective because they a lot of people in the car, but it's not real. The fact that it's not real people makes people think more, then not listen to it. One
Bandwagon This type of propaganda is fear. I believe this because the picture is of a Devil and most people fear the Devil. The Devil is saying "Why didn't i think of that", while reading a book with the star of David on it. It would scare people to think that the Devil thought that the holocaust was a good idea.
I think that the goal for this propaganda is to get people to stop the nazi's from "relocating" jews.
I believe that this propaganda is effective because the Devil is a scary creature. I think that people would be scared and listen to the poster. Two
Fear This type of propaganda is testimonials. I believe this because the poster is of Santa Claus with coca-cola. It makes you think that Santa Claus drinks coke, so to follow in his foot steps you should drink coke too. A lot of kids like Santa Claus, so they want to do what they "think" Santa is doing.
I think the goal of this propaganda poster is to get kids to drink coca-cola.
I do not think that this propaganda is effective because not all people believe in Santa. As kids get older they stop believing and other religions believe in different people. Three
Testimonials This type of propaganda is euphemism. I think this because Santa says he has to " let his elves go". Another meaning for firing them.
I think the goal of this propaganda is to let them go easy. Not to yell at the elves a say "You're fired" but let them down easy by saying "I have to let you go".
I believe this propaganda is effective because it doesn't make the fact that you lost your job sound so bad. Five
Euphemism This type of peopaganda is glittering generalities. I think this because on the poster to advertise Facebook, Twitter, and GOOGLE + they use the word victory. In everyone's mind victory is a pleasant word.
I think the goal of this propaganda is to get people to sign up and use Facebook, Twitter, and GOOGLE +.
I believe that this propaganda is affective because the word victory is pleasing to most everyone. People want to be victorious, it is a good feeling. So if everyone wants to be victorious they will all follow the propaganda, therefore making the propaganda effective among most people. Four
